Pumpkin person

We love to make crafts and momma loves all the fun keepsakes of the hand/foot prints to see how the kids grow each year.

So if you have been following you know we have been doing alot of fun crafts for Halloween with paper plates. If you haven't seen them be sure to check them out here.

Today we made Mr. Pumpkin. Painted the paper plate orange, put our foot prints on a white piece of paper and cut them out, then glued the face and feet onto the pumpkin plate.

You can add hand prints as well but we didn't this time.

Fun, easy and again inexpensive.

"J" was so cute laughing at his pumpkin, he said "mom, he has no arms." Laughing like crazy.

If you like to make paper plate crafts be sure to check out our fun Scented apple pie paper plate. Also, be sure to check back to see some more Fall ones we will be making.

Make your own Tie Dye Pumpkin shirt

I have great memories making tie dye shirts with my mom as a kid and thought it would be something fun to do with "J".

So "J" is old enough to help with this I thought it would be fun to make Pumpkin tie dye shirts for Halloween time.

They are super easy!!

Materials:
Orange dye (can get at craft store or Wal-Mart sells kits)
Shirt
Black Sharpie marker

You can by small kits that come with rubber bands, dye, squirt bottle, and gloves @ Wal-Mart.

****To make the pumpkin face I used a sharpie marker, make sure you place wax paper in the middle of the shirt so the marker doesn't run to the back.****

I tried to make a cirle in the middle of the shirt but didn't work too well, I just tied the rubber bands all over.

The best thing about this is it was very inexpensive. The kit was $4.97 from Wal-Mart and your can dye easy 3-4 shirts with the kit. Then I got a long as well from Wal-Mart for $3.88.

So I made 2 shirts for the price of 1 if I bought it off Etsy.

Paper plate pumpkin

Some more pumpkin fun for the kids. Today we took a paper plate and made some fun pumpkins. This is another fun, easy and inexpensive craft.

Materials:
Paper plates
Black paper or foam
Scissors
Hole punch
Pipe cleaner

This is a great fine motor skill for the little ones 1. They are using the hole puncher, 2. Painting, and 3. Twisting the pipe cleaner

"J" made a pirate pumpkin, that is why it is missing one eye it has a patch....this is what he said to me.

If you like making crafts be sure to check out the other fun Halloween crafts we have done.  Terra cotta pumpkin pots, Spider keepsake handprints, and Paper plate witch

P is for Pumpkin

We just craved our 1st pumpkin of the season and I saved the seeds to do some fun crafts with. I had a foam pumpkin from a set of 5 Fall cut-outs from the Dollar Tree.

So I wrote an uppercase and lowercase "P" on the pumpkin and had "J" cover them with pumpkin seeds.

You can cut a pumpkin out on paper or foam, then just write a "P" in the center and have the kids glue the pumpkin seeds on the top, if you don't have a foam pumpkin.

Materials:
Pumpkin shape (paper or foam)
Marker
Glue
Pumpkin seeds

This is a fun project to do with preschoolers and even a toddler can do this. "C" who is almost 2 glued the pumpkin seeds to a paper plate.
