Magic Jello ice

Kids love science and we are always exploring to fine new things to do with things around the house. Back in March we made Fizzing Shamrocks and since then we have been messing around to make a better mold.

Well we came up with it and had a lot of fun playing with our Magic Jello Ice Stars. They are simple to make and super fun.

All you need to do is mix about 3 tsp of jello with 1/2 cup of hot water, once the jello is dissolved then mix with about 1-2 cups of baking soda. Don't make it too thick you want it a little runny to pour into the ice trays. (We got our start ice trays from Dollar Tree)

Then let it freeze and you have your magic jello ice.

Place on a tray and make them erupt and bubble with vinegar. Once the vinegar dissolve them you will have a goop like sensory play.

NOTE: You can make them with Kool-Aid as well.

This is a fun experiment for all ages.

We love ice play be sure to check out some other fun ice things we have done.

What you need for this yummy treat:
Graham crackers.....crushed

All we did was layer first the graham crackers crushed, then the strawberries cut up, then marshmallow fluff(you can also use yogurt or whip cream for the white), then blueberries and on the top added some whip cream and sprinkles for pretty look.

July 4th cheesecake dessert with fruit

What a yummy and fun way to celebrate July 4th with cheesecake and fruit....the kids will love to help make this and VERY easy.

Here is what you will need.

Doing the no bake cheesecake is great for toddler/preschool kids. Pour and stir. Then let them cut the strawberries with a plastic butter knife, no boo-boo's.
But you still need to watch them!!!

Then I out-lined a star for "J" to fill in with blueberries and he places cut up strawberries around the outside. Put in fridge and serve in a hour. YUM YUM!!!

OOOO....look mom turned out pretty.

Patriotic fruit picnic

It was a nice day out so I got together the picnic stuff and made the kids a Red, White, and Blue fruit tray for alittle picnic fun.

Then J wanted to make some jucie so I gave him the packet to make blue kool-aid.

The kids really enjoyed, pouring the juice and eating the fruit.
Fun way to get festive for July 4th coming.

I used a plastic table cloth and had J set up the plates and cups for alittle picnic time.

Firework bubble fun

Great way to cool off during the HOT summer days and still have some fun. Get 1 tub from Home Depot for $5.00 and fill with dish soap, water and food coloring or kool-aid to have colored bubble fun.

Also the tub can be used for other fun sensory play as well.

With July 4th coming we did RED, WHITE, and BLUE firework bubbles.

After you put the food coloring in the bubbles if you take a spoon/stick and twirl around it looks like fireworks with the red, white, and blue. You can do it with any colors.
