Fun way to keep the memories of your little one(s) by placing their finger and thumb prints to make an ornament.
As parents we know that our little one(s) grow so fast, and at Christmas time I love pullin out last years ornaments to see how they have grown in a years time.
So this year for the tree we made snowman keepsake ornaments.
To make this ornament it is simple and very inexpensive.
Materials:
Clear plastic ornament from your local craft store(Micheal's, Hobby Lobby, Joann's or A.C. Moore)
the price is $1.29 @ Micheal's and Joann's you can also use coupons to get it cheaper.
Acrylic paints
Sharpie market (black) I used this to make the snowman hat
Mod Podge or clear glaze spray to protect the outside.
I used the thumb for the base, pointer for the center and pinky for the face of the snowman.
This is a great craft to give as a gift to family members or for kids to make in the classroom.
If you like to make your own ornament keepsakes be sure to check out these other fun ones we made. Reindeer family ornaments, Candy cane photo ornament and Reindeer handprint keepsake.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much, that means alot to me. Hope you guys enjoy the keeps as much as we do.
DeleteI like to do ornaments similar to these with my students. They decorate the outside. I like to use fabric paints because they come with narrow tips. I take pictures of each child, print them on transparency sheets, and hang the pictures inside the ornaments. They are fun and easy gifts for parents.
